Future\Pace: A Pioneering Approach in Commissioning Major Artworks in the Public Realm

Futurecity and Pace are pleased to announce a strategic cultural partnership. FuturePace presents an international group of artists making large-scale work in an urban setting, including Janet Echelman, Kohei Nawa, teamLab, Carsten Nicolai, Random International, Michal Rovner, Studio Drift, and Leo Villareal. They challenge traditional notions of public art, reaching into the digital sphere combining technology, colour, kinetics, the physical form and interaction.

Mollie Dent-Brocklehurst is the founder of Future\Pace. She held the position of President of Pace London gallery from its launch in 2010 until 2017. After graduating from Brown University with a degree in Semiotics, Mollie worked as Researcher in the Contemporary & Impressionist department at Sotheby’s London (1994–95) and then as a Specialist in the department of Impressionist & Modern art at Sotheby’s New York. From 1997 to 1999 she was a Director at Gagosian Gallery, New York, and in 1999 Mollie returned to England to orchestrate the opening of Gagosian’s first London gallery. She was Managing Director until 2004. Prior to joining Pace London, Mollie was the International Director and Programme Coordinator for The Garage Centre for Contemporary Culture,  Moscow, where she oversaw the development of the space from its conception.
